With a friend last week, we went to the Euston Tap. Opposite is the Cider Tap - a dedicated cider bar (apparently London's only).

Right by the Euston train station and a relatively short walk from my Kings Cross flat is the Euston Tap, a really unexpected location for a bar/pub and if it were not for the drinkers milling outside, quite easy to miss.

It's the stone building on the left in this photo, with its twin opposite.

I am off the booze until September, but am looking forward to getting back there and sampling a few of the beers there.

They've always got 20+ beers on tap, fantastic for a beer lover (though I have gone over to wine and gin & tonic on my side, I still appreciate a good beer, whether bitter, ale or lager).

Unusual structure, very definitive focus and unbelievable selection - whats not to love?

Buses. A never ending stream of buses at the lights right outside it, making it far from ideal when you want to be outside.

Other than that, great bar.

The Stag - Belsize Park/Hampstead

I really love The Stag, and will miss it once I move away from Belsize Park.

The beer garden, in my opinion, is one of the best in London, the staff are fantastic, and no matter how busy it gets, the service is fantastic, table service for everything if it's not too busy.

Especially loved the umbrella waiters earlier on today.

Throw in some great food, and usually quite good live music when it's on and it's a winner.

The Wisteria overhanging the garden entrance is in bloom again, not quite as special as it was in Spring, but a nice touch.

There's a terrace upstairs which I keep meaning to book for some occasion, but always keep it late.

I've been in the area for over 7 years now, I really should try to go before I move.
